For women undergoing menopause:-
THE SYMPTOMS OF MENOPAUSE cannot be changed,
but consumption of good nutrition can help prevent or
ease certain conditions which may develop during and
after menopause.
i)Take more calcium
Calcium is rich in spinach, soy, dairy products, pulses and
fish with bones. You can also take calcium supplements.
Increase your iron intake-Iron is rich in leafy green
vegetables, nuts, egg, fish and red meat.
ii)Get sufficient fibre
Fibre can be found in cereals, pasta, fresh fruits and
vegetables.
iii)Drink plenty of water
You must consume 3 litres of water in a day. The more
water you drink, the more your system will be flushed out
and become clean.
iv)Take vitamin D
If you are not getting enough sunshine, then take vitamin
D supplements. Vitamin D helps absorb calcium. Butexcessive vitamin D is not recommended because it
harms the kidneys. A whole food plant-based diet is extremely helpful.
